New GFRP bars on the Australian market
New GFRP rebar brands are entering the market — and not all of them are equal.
We’re seeing more GFRP rebar brands on the Australian market.
At first glance they look like standard GFRP rebar, yet they are manufactured to different standards and deliver different performance.
Before you specify or accept any new GFRP rebar brand on your project, insist on full compliance documentation:
• Current third-party test certificates
• Conformance to the relevant standards (ASTM, CSA, AS)
• QC testing
• QMS accreditation
Cheap alternatives can look similar in the warehouse but behave very differently once they’re in the concrete. Protect your project.
