Beyond Materials Group PTY LTD was founded in 2019 with the aim of developing a Glass Fibre rebar designed to reinforce concrete and provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional steel rebar. After two years of development Black Bar GFRP reinforcement bar was introduced to Australian construction market. It is now the most trustworthy GFRP reinforcement brand nationwide.
Beyond Materials Group develops and produces Glass Fibre Rebar, bent bars, mesh and cages. Black Bar reinforcement is a stronger and lighter alternative to conventional steel rebar. It is ¼ the weight of steel, superior in tensile strength, non-magnetic, and non-conductive rebar that has a life cycle of 100+ years. Black Bar GFRP rebar is specified for use in roadways, bridges, dams, concrete slabs, barrier walls, marine applications, tunneling and temporary reinforcement, and power generation facilities.

" I visited your factory and you showed me how the GFRP reinforcing bar is manufactured. We understood that unlike mild steel bars, this reinforcing could not be bent or manufactured at the building site if changes were to occur. Upon submitting an order, the bars were manufactured and delivered to the building site on the day that was pre-scheduled under our Construction Program. The concrete and concrete block work subcontractor installed the bars to the concrete slab and footings, and to the concrete block work without any issues. The installed GFRP reinforcing was approved by the engineer and the concrete pours followed. The building site was quite remote being on the side of the hill outside of Charters Towers and as a QBCC licensed building contractor we would have no hesitation in considering your product again for future projects Thank you again for a great product and timely supply to the jobsite."
